Ryan Meyer focuses his practice within the realm of civil litigation, representing developers, contractors, real estate professionals, and insurance companies in all facets of the business world, including general business disputes, construction and construction defect claims, professional liability/non-disclosure claims, and development issues. In addition to advocating on behalf of his clients’ interests, Ryan also advises his clients on risk and exposure management issues, forward planning decisions, and is there to guide his clients through the entire development process, both inside and outside of litigation (including planning, construction, and agency representation). Ryan has successfully tried and arbitrated cases to verdict/award, appealed adverse rulings by trial courts and upheld favorable verdicts, settled hundreds of disputes, and recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Ryan is adept at identifying creative methods to resolve complex issues, focusing always upon efficient and effective resolution to preserve his client’s interests.
Ryan has a background in environmental science, earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Science from University of California at Davis, and having spent many years as a Senior Project Manager for an esteemed consulting firm before transitioning to his law practice. Ryan earned his Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and was inducted into the Traynor Society during his tenure there. Ryan is also an active real estate broker and a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and Sacramento County Board of Realtors. Further, Ryan practices in State and Federal Courts in both California and Washington, as well as the United States Supreme Court.
When not at the office, Ryan enjoys spending free time with his family, usually outdoors on a river or hiking/skiing in the mountains.
