Our Team

DJ Mico joined the firm in September 2021 and works on employment law and complex insurance coverage litigation. Prior to joining the firm, DJ defended workers’ compensation cases and related issues, including insurance defense, Labor Code Section 132a, and serious and willful misconduct while defending claims administrators and employers in front of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

DJ graduated with a Bachelor of Arts as a double major in Communications and Psychology from the University of California at Davis. At Davis, DJ spent four years as a student-athlete playing on the school’s club baseball team and serving as a practice player with the UC Davis Women’s Basketball team. DJ also spent time broadcasting UC Davis sports through KDVS.

DJ earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where he was a staff writer and Chief Managing Editor for University of Pacific Law Review and has a published student Comment, “Protecting the Digital Playgrounds: Narrowly Tailoring the Meaning of ‘Social Media’ to Prohibit Sexual Predators from Using Social Media.” 51 U. PAC. L. REV 123 (2020). DJ also was a judicial extern for a federal magistrate judge at the Eastern District of California. When not practicing law, DJ enjoys playing golf, basketball, softball, traveling, and hiking National Parks with his fiancée.
